International Conference on the Chinese Economy: China’s “New Normal” Growth: Opportunities and Challenges, Perth, Australia, 12-14 July, 2017 (http://www.ces-aus.org ).

About the Conference: The conference is jointly organised by UWA Business School, the University of Western Australia and the Chinese Economics Society Australia (CESA). It is also the 29th Annual Meeting of the Society – CESA2017.

Topics: The organiser invites all papers addressing the following topics about the Chinese economy such as economic reforms and ‘new normal’ growth, international trade, agricultural economy, resource sector and sustainable development, macroeconomics and microeconomics and China and the world economy. In addition, conference participants are most welcome to organise special sessions at the conference.

Who Should Attend: The conference is open to all scholars, policy makers and business advisers who are interested in the Chinese economy.

Conference Proceedings: Conference papers will be considered for publication in special issues/sections by China Economic Review, Asian Development Review, Energy Policy and China & World Economy. The selection of papers will follow a standard double-blind refereeing process.

Perth: The host city sets on the banks of the spectacular Swan River, is one of Australia’s fastest growing urban centres, offering cultural diversity and sophistication combined with a relaxed lifestyle and friendly vibe.
