As part of our Policy in the Pub series of events, we are pleased to invite you to hear from Cherelle Murphy - Senior Economist, ANZ.
Cherelle is a member of ANZ’s Research team. She analyses and forecasts the Australian economy and provides regular updates and insights on topics that are front of mind for ANZ’s clients. Cherelle has a special interest in fiscal policy and policy issues affecting the domestic outlook.
Cherelle has also worked in ANZ corporate communications, holding the position of Senior Manager of Media Relations for two years. She also worked as a journalist for the Australian Financial Review for five years, including as Economics Correspondent for the paper in the Federal Parliamentary Press Gallery.
Cherelle began her career as an economic research analyst at the Reserve Bank of Australia. She holds a Commerce degree (Hons) from Curtin University and a Master of Population Studies from Australian National University.
Cherelle is formerly a director of an ACT Government Board and a not-for-profit organisation. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Cherelle will reflect on the events of 2019 and present her insights on the economic outlook for WA and Australia.
The ‘Policy in the Pub’ series is an informal bi-monthly event providing an opportunity to participate in discussion about topical economic issues. It is co-sponsored by the Economic Society of Australia and Women in Economics Network’s WA Branch.
