Are you a student (or a parent or teacher) considering studying economics at university in WA next year? Would you like to know more about your options for studying economics and where a degree in economics can take you? If so, you might be interested in an upcoming information session where you will have the opportunity to hear from academics, graduates and students from the three WA universities that offer degrees in economics.

This free event is a joint initiative of the Economic Society of Australia (WA Branch) (ESAWA) and the Economic Teachers Association of Western Australia (ETAWA). The event will be moderated by Nick Ognenis (President of ETAWA) and will feature the following speakers:

  • Sherry Bawa (Associate Professor and Head of Department of Economics, Curtin University);
  • Alison Preston (Professor of Economics, University of Western Australia); and
  • Riko Stevens (Lecturer in Economics, University of Notre Dame Australia).

There will also be an opportunity to hear from a number of current economics university students and graduates from the three universities represented.
