The WA Branch of the Economic Society of Australia is holding its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 10 August\, at 5:30pm in the Bluewater Room of the BWG Steakhouse\, 56 Duncraig Rd\, Applecross.
This year the Society&rsquo\;s dinner will be a special celebration because Professor Harry Bloch is to be presented with the &nbsp\;Austin Holmes Award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to economics in Western Australia.&nbsp\; The Award acknowledges Harry for is service in several roles\, including as the:





the John Curtin Distinguished Professor\, Curtin University\;
the Dean for Research\, Curtin Business School\;
a member of the Australian Research Council College of Experts\;
the President of the Western Australia Branch of the Economic Society of Australia\; and
the Editor of The Economic Record.





Once Harry has been presented with the Award he will deliver the after dinner speech on Growth Puzzles\, Human Agency and the Future of Economics.
