Episode 7: Ted Evans Lecture
In this episode we bring you a recording of the 2020 Ted Evans Public Policy Lecture, a partnership between ESA Queensland, the University of Queensland, the Queensland University of Technology and Griffith University. This year we heard from Professor Ian Harper on The Human Dimension of Good Economic Policy-making. In this lecture, Ian Harper discusses the ways in which his own approach to good economic policy-making has been shaped by keeping one eye on how the policy advice translates into the lives of ordinary people. This lecture draws on his extensive policy experience in financial regulation, wages and competition policy and, most recently, monetary policy during the pandemic.
